In June, we successfully concluded our campaign to encourage seniors to donate their senior discounts to help at-risk kids succeed in school. Through the campaign, seniors donated over $500 in discounts to a Portland-based nonprofit, Neighborhood House, that provides healthy meals and educational programs for children in our most vulnerable communities. With a matching grant from a SAGE member, we raised $1,000 for the campaign to help kids. Special thanks to our partner, Boomerang Giving, another nonprofit organization that enables seniors to easily donate their discounts to charitable causes.
