Effective Citizenship in Times of Crisis

March 22, 2018 @ 10:30 am - 1:30 pm

Together, we’ll share concerns about today’s social challenges with a focus on recent trends that impact our democracy, such as political disengagement, disinformation and distrust of major institutions and the media. Guests will share their own strategies to advance civic engagement and leadership, leading to a conversation in search of new perspectives and paths forward individually and collectively.

This event is designed to engage guests of different ages and backgrounds who can share their experience, and help us boost civic service and leadership.

There is no cost to attend, but space is limited.  Register Here

An informal dinner is provided.

Our conversation will be led by Kim Stafford, the author of a dozen books of poetry and prose, and the director of the Northwest Writing Institute and a long-time professor at Lewis & Clark College. Each participant will receive a copy of his book, The Flavor of Unity: Post-Election Poems.

Thanks to our event partners!
