Volunteer with SAGE

We love volunteers, student projects, and pro bono help. We welcome volunteers for a few hours or long-term commitments.

SAGE volunteer opportunities run the gamut from greeting people at events, to hosting a discussion group, to writing stories about people giving forward, to working on special projects. We also offer additional opportunities to engage through our Legacy FellowshipTeams, and Young Leaders Advisory Board. Plus, SAGE highlights direct pathways to volunteer with our partners.

We also work with volunteers to customize service and research opportunities that leverage your skills and interests. This is often the case with more long-term engagements such as internships, externships, and class projects.

See below for some examples of ways you can get involved with SAGE. We offer activities that you can do from home, by phone, online, and in our office too.

Ways To Volunteer With SAGE

Welcome people to our community! Join our SAGE Greeters.

Do you like meeting new people and welcoming them to community events? Then you will enjoy serving as a SAGE Greeter. We host events throughout the year to inspire, support and connect people to give forward. As one of our Greeters, you serve as the initial face of SAGE by welcoming guests to our events, helping them feel included, and thanking them for attending. Greeters help us with all our events - in person, online, and hybrid too.

Host a SAGE Citizen Project Gathering: Exploring Common Projects

Today’s news can make us feel like our communities are more polarized and less able to bring people together to take on projects and solve problems.
What do you think? Can we work across differences and lead good projects together?

We invite you to host a SAGE gathering where guests explore whether they share long-term goals in their community and, if so, what projects might come about to pursue these goals.
